Continuum Community
of Champions

A warm welcome to our Continuum Community of Champions!

We wanted to introduce ourselves as your Champion Leaders. While we come from different backgrounds (oncology, transplant hepatology, cardiac surgery, and heart failure/cardiac transplant), we’ve bonded over a shared passion for primary palliative care and its benefits in our clinical practices. As Champions, we hope to create a “safe space” to discuss your experiences with primary palliative care and facilitate conversations to learn from each other’s successes and challenges. Our goal is to support clinicians at all levels, foster connections, create a welcoming environment, and share resources. Together, we can grow the primary palliative care community at MGH, improve collaboration, and support one another in providing the best care for our patients. We encourage you to become ambassadors of the Continuum Community of Champions by joining our monthly sessions, spreading the word, and inviting colleagues to connect and learn more.

Sessions Upcoming, Recorded & Materials

Come join the MGH Continuum Community of Champions (CCC), an interprofessional group of like-minded clinicians from across MGH who come together monthly (alternating in person with lunch and virtual) to learn how to improve their skills in important aspects of primary palliative care (i.e. palliative care skills that non-palliative care specialists need to know to care for seriously ill patients) like effective communication, leadership, and culture change. We also highlight projects Champions are working on to improve the primary palliative care skills in their own clinical areas, getting troubleshooting help and support for their projects from other CCC members.

If you would like to attend one of the upcoming sessions and you have not received a calendar invite, please reach out to Kelly Spinelli at kspinelli@mgb.org. For planning purposes, we will need to know 3-4 days in advance if you will be joining an in-person session as lunch will be provided.

Check back frequently for information on sessions.
