The MGB Continuum Community of Champions (CCC) is a group of interprofessional clinicians from a wide range of backgrounds, disciplines and clinical specialties. Community members are committed to improving the care of seriously ill and aging patients, with a particular focus on promoting team-based, person-centered communication and care planning.
The CCC meets monthly, alternating between in-person sessions and virtual sessions to learn how to improve skills in important aspects of primary palliative care (i.e. palliative care skills that non-palliative care specialists need to know to care for seriously ill patients) like effective communication, leadership, and culture change. Champions also serve as primary palliative care content experts in their respective clinical areas.
No experience is required to join the CCC – just a passion for improving the care provided to patients and families.
If you would like to attend an upcoming session but have not received a calendar invite, please contact Kelly Spinelli at kspinelli@mgb.org. For planning purposes, please let us know 3–4 days in advance if you plan to attend an in-person session, as lunch will be provided.
We look forward to welcoming you to the community. Check back frequently for updates and information about upcoming sessions.
